Dragons bickered in the stands, arguing emphatically. In the middle of the hubbub, the words "Wind," "Shadow," and "ghost chicken legs" could be heard. In the middle of the esteemed MistralMurk Faire, the dragons of Wind and Shadow were arguing over who made the best Poultrygeist legs recipe. Tempest and Twilight, the Wind and Shadow sprites who had been competing in the Sprite Tournament only minutes before, glared at each other across the stadium center. Both had splatters of food on their faces, where they had pegged each other in the food fight which they were oh so definitely taking part in. "Hey! Hey, Twilight!" Tempest yelled, ducking under a bowl of salad greens that sailed past her head. Twilight peeked around an upturned table, her calm features barely masking a fire of competition underneath. "What? Are you ready to concede defeat yet?" Tempest scowled, chucking a dinner roll at the small purple head. Twilight giggled and easily dodged the throw. "Never! In fact I want to challenge you!" the Wind sprite yelled, banging both of her hands down on the back of a chair. "The Tournament couldn't find a winner, so I say we settle this for good." Twilight stood, her half-lidded eyes watching Tempest with a light of excitement. "Oh? And what do you propose?" The Wind sprite grinned, her wings spreading. "You'll just have to find out, pal! Follow me!" Without waiting for a response, Tempest surged into the sky, food fight forgotten behind her. Twilight took one last glance at the dragons arguing around her before fluttering after Tempest, shaking her head in amusement. What an interesting day.
