[i]"You should go down there and check it out."[/i] [i]"As if!"[/i] Roxy wasn't going anywhere near such a dubious location. [i]"I dare you to." "Dares are dumb." "I double dare you to!" "I'm still not doing it." "What about a double-cross dare?"[/i] Dang. Roxy clicked his tongue. A double-cross dare was serious. He didn't want to turn that down. He'd looks like a coward. [i]"Fine. Whatever."[/i] Roxy begrudgingly agreed. [i]"But only because you double-cross dared me to."[/i] [i]"Yeah!"[/i] Reggi did a little excited hop. He quickly regained his composure, trying to appear serious, though it was rendered slightly ineffective by his goofy grin. [i]"Alright! You'll go down into the labyrinth and find anything interesting and bring it back! Right?"[/i] Sure. Whatever. Roxy nodded. He'll just find whatever piece of old rock that looked mildly curious to satisfy his younger sibling. With that in mind, the Skydancer started packing for the trip.

However, the sudden mad scramble to the ruins in question was quickly halted by the joint effort of the clan's Patriarch and Matriarch blocking the lair's entrance. I understand the siren's call for new knowledge and adventure, but we cannot have everyone leaving the lair!"[/center][nextcol][nextcol][nextcol][color=transparent]XXX[/color][columns][/indent] In honesty, if someone truly wanted to disobey the Patriarch's reprimand it would be no challenge to push past his tiny build in order to get to the lair's entrance but the much larger spread-winged form of their Matriarch and the flexing of her talons prevented the more rebellious from taking that chance. A moment of tension passed and deeming their attempts of crowd control successful, both quietly consulted on how they would proceed. This inviation was not something they - or rather any Light affiliated - would willingly pass up, but deciding on whom would have the honor could be problematic. Upon reaching a consensus, their Matriarch spoke up. [indent][columns][center]"It has been decided. In spite of the smaller clan we may be, our duties are great. Only one may go."[/center][nextcol][color=transparent]X[/color][nextcol][center][img]https://i.imgur.com/moQJKM3.png[/img] [b]Gullveig[/b][/center][nextcol][nextcol][nextcol][color=transparent]XXX[/color][columns][/indent] Unsurprisingly, this led to very loud protests that quickly devolved into a fight between two spirals, having decided upon themselves to combat each other for the honor - only for their tangled forms to knock into another volatile member and turning into an out right free-for all brawl. Nidhoggr chittered angrily at the mess that was becoming their communal area. Apparently, it was too much to expect this group to be civilized enough to decide between themselves but before Nidhoggr and Gullveig could revoke the decision for the group, another dragon quietly approached. Once close enough, Steix sat on his haunches while ignoring the discord behind him with practiced ease. His ever present pearl was possessively settled in his lap in order to allow his front claws freedom to draw collective images into the dirt - his way of communication (along with a few other tells) due to a past injury making him mute. Although he wasn't much of a fighter, as an Oracle of the clan he considered himself a scholar of the mystical and unknown - exploring ruins such as these would be an amazing opportunity. It was the others' fault for getting distracted with each other and not realizing that someone might take advantage of it. Both of the clan leaders were relieved to having the matter resolved so simply and assented to Steix's request. [indent][columns][center]"You may go. The fighting that had been going on had abruptly stopped upon realizing that someone was allowed to leave and one of the spirals struggled to separate from their rivals, hissing in fury.
