so it's not quite like that stock-the-pond thing, because 1) I train and exalt the vast majority of the hatchlings, and 2) the parents have random ranges, but: lately I've been buying the first eligible pair of fodder dragons off the AH and mashing them together, partially to make more fodder and partially to see what comes out. Usually they're... well, interesting in the same way as the average college student's fridge, to paint the picture politely... but sometimes, a weirdly pretty baby comes out.
Today, I hatched a nest with what I thought was a fairly wide and incongruous range and got this delightful little guy:
as well as his fruit salad sister:
about a month ago, I also managed to get this gal out of a nest, and haven't convinced myself to boot her just yet.
(I was toying briefly with the idea of writing little lore blurbs for all the pretty hatches and listing them above fodder price to see if they'd get good homes, but idk if folks would want that kinda thing since they're not crazy lucky STP hatches or from established pairs. and also, that's a lot of writing lol, I barely have bullet points for my own clan...)
anyway, do y'all have unexpectedly pretty fodder hatches from weirdo pairs? :D
