[img]https://i.imgur.com/ppwHGUc.png[/img] [center][b]LORE:[/b][/center] Stardancers were born from the first Skydancer that flew to the edges of the atmosphere, the cosmic radiation transforming her into a guardian of the cosmos, her body as dark as the night sky, pockmarked by stars and banded by the auroras that danced across it. Her innate magic manifested as the runes on her body, granting her much stronger dominion over the innate elemental magic she possessed. Upon returning to her lair, her mate, too wished to join her. She, too, flew to the upper edge of the world, where she was changed in much the same way as her beloved, the only differing aspect being the color that glowed, contrasting the deep hues of the rest of her body. Word spread of their change, those brave enough trying it for themselves. No matter the species, all that made the pilgrimage returned as striking Skydancers. Over time, the knowledge of the pilgrimage was lost to only those who had made it themselves, passing down from them, to those who sought to take it. [center][img]https://i.imgur.com/DXtnu2a.png[/img][/center] Little is publicly known about this mysterious subspecies, aside that they tend to either gather in remote tribes across the far reaches of the world, or scatter solo or in pairs, dotted across Sornieth. They are almost exclusively nocturnal, far more comfortable under the gaze of the stars they derive their namesake from. Stardancer tribes welcome all Stardancers, whether born as one, or having made the pilgrimage later in life. Stardancers are the sentinels of the cosmos, taking wing by night to be on the front lines of guard against any attempts by the Shade to encroach on Sornieth once more. There are three tiers of Stardancers: Sentinels, the ideal Stardancers, those that take to the sky and fight the Shade; Watchers, those that can more easily blend into the cover of night as eyes behind enemy lines; and Guardians, those that keep to the ground and defend their lairs and tribes while the Sentinels and Watchers are away.
