I've got [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/baz/2932295/1]a hatchery[/url] that centers around breeding my own flight reps in element-appropriate nests. I've got pairs for nearly every element (still missing Light & Shadow, I'm being picky) but I'm not [i]totally[/i] happy with my Fire pair. Here's how they are right now:

Right now, they're both Petals/Butterfly. Personally, I think it's really pretty, but I also kinda want some more variety in their potential hatchlings, I especially want to break up the corresponding Primary-Secondary thing going on. I don't want to change Daruk at all & I like Scoria's Opal, but I'm not sure what to do with her other two genes. I don't want to [i]totally[/i] drown out Daruk's Petals/Butterfly, but I can't really afford a rare gem gene for Scoria right now so I'm okay with more common genes for her.
Any advice on how to change her up, & still maintain her fiery visage?

Just realized that I seem to come across your threads for your dragons from time to time XD Not intentional, I promise! Anyway, I dunno what you'd think of the primary gene (Fade), but the secondary gene (Marbled) kinda reminds me of the flow of lava in a sense. Not the perfect representation of it since the orange isn't bright enough, but close enough to me. There are probably other better options, but that's what I ended up scrying and feeling okay with it.

After playing around with Scoria, I really like Slime or Lionfish with Marble- Marble for the same reasons as @AmeliaSageglow, hehe. Lionfish adds cool red accents, and Slime looks like freshly-cooled volcanic rock!

Oh wow, I didn't think about Lionfish, mostly because I'm not a fan of that gene, but that is actually a really cool look on her :o And as for Slime, that's actually really clever, I also didn't think of that idea (for some reason) lol
