Ever since the day Scales was introduced, I had never liked it. I would scry possible combinations of Scales on my dragons and I didn't like it on any of them. But then just today, I came across a thread that was about whether or not the person who created it could help people like a certain gene or color they dislike and I mentioned Scales, and they managed to succeed in making me like Scales! And so after that, I decided to go to the Auction House to get myself a dragon or two with Scales, and ended up getting these two!

Kind of a coincidence that they'd end up with primary and secondary genes that have designs that match, but regardless, I love the Scales gene on them both (too bad I have to have them in the Hibernal Den since there's not enough room in the Main dens). Aaaah, they're both so gorgeous! I love Scales already, so maybe I'm biased, but wow. [emoji=ridgeback happy size=1] Stasja especially, I love how the darker Scales go with the darker accent around the wings and crests.

flaminchi It is indeed an underrated gene, I can't believe it took me this long to finally see how amazing this gene can be! And thank you, I'm very happy to have gotten them among all of the other dragons that looked amazing in Scales, they will forever be cherished! :D

Yeah, that was something I didn't quite think about back then, I was too busy looking at the Scales on my dragons' faces, legs and so on and kept thinking about how unappealing it looked on them, but it was just simply because my dragons just didn't have the right color combinations to make Scales work.
