at long last... after 9 months of breeding, over 6 different pairs spanning 4 generations, with countless near misses along the way....... [center][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/63686736][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/636868/63686736_350.png[/img][/url] [size=4][b][i]THEY EXIST...[/i][/b][/size][/center] i have been dreaming about this banescale since the breed was released. literally dreaming, i woke up and had to scramble to the scrying workshop to try and capture their colors & markings. individually, all their colors are fairly popular, but they didn't really exist in the combination i needed until i got my hands on a few of the ~10 unexalted ones on the site who were close and narrowed down the range. originally i was gonna try for a primal, but this project has been Too Much already and i'm not in wind, so i'd have to rent approx. 15 billion nests before i hatched one. it's fine. i'm in love. they're [i]finally heeeeeere[/i]!!! now i just gotta awaken their familiar and give them some hard-earned lore. ----- show me your most difficult finished projects!! i wanna see the dragons you've given your blood, sweat, and tears to make a reality. what made them special enough to be worth all that effort? are you as happy with them now as you were when you first scried them?

I don't really have anything to show myself because while I have completed several breeding projects, some of which have taken months, I've never really had inordinate amount of trouble with any of them. A bit of patience and a lot of stalking of the AH and it's always panned out.

Seriously though I love breeding projects. And completing them. Except they inevitably will not have the right genes so at some point you'd need to gene them too. Frick.

To illustrate, his color combo only has six dragons, including him now, and of those, he is the only one in an active lair. His lore also called for him to be an Imperial, which meant no breed changes and a male. So he was a pretty long breeding project. And Light (I’m Arcane) so next rentals galore. Then he had to get completely regened, and given eternal youth. He’s worth it though, he’s part of a pretty big lore project and I love him a lot.

[columns]@dreamlogic Oh wow, they turned out amazing! I adore the accent you gave them, it works so well with their genes- congrats on finally finishing them! I have a lot of completed dream projects, but here are a handful that have stuck out to me because of how much I wanted a dragon with their colors. Everwhelm's color scheme had been on my dream dragon list for ages- I love how well they work together, especially with those genes. I knew I had to buy her when I saw her not only with the perfect colors, but as a G1 with Wind Primal eyes! She's been one of my favorite dragons ever since, I can't get enough of her. One of my favorite colors is Stone because of its green accents, and a XXY Stone/green-range G1 had always been a dream dragon of mine. Imagine my surprise when I hatched one myself, and with decent eyes to boot! Sometimes RNG is kind. I had been wanting a pretty mint-y colored G1 with Wind eyes for a long while, so when I saw them on the AH, I couldn't pass them up. They're currently the oldest dragon in my lair, and I love them to bits! I bought him specifically to fit the skin he's wearing, as I'd been looking for the perfect dragon to wear it for a while (my dream was an XYY obsidian/gold G1 with ice eyes, and he's not far off- looks even better than my plans, I think). @Deltheor thanks! you've got some stunning dragons yourself! i can't get over how beautiful everwhelm is. she's got excellent colors that are perfect for a wind primal, but that accent really takes her over the top. it flows so perfectly with the skink/filigree!! *heart eyes*
