You don't need to know me more than five minutes than to know I'm obsessed with a particular birb. So, how would one go about making a dragon out of it?
I've tried my hand at scrying, which ended up like this:

Any advice on improving it? I know Sweetpuffs have a brown face feather thing going on, but I've struggled with finding a gene for that, so I think I'll have to settle for apparel or for a skin for that.

usually found eliminating sweetpuffs in the coli to acquire them
the wings look really nice! i feel like the body color might be a bit too bright in comparison to the sweetpuff, though.. maybe use antique? and this is just me throwing it out there, but maybe some color of fade can get you that brownish head you want. (i don’t know for sure if there’s a white range color that uses brown accents in fade, but it couldn’t hurt to check i suppose)
a stained tert also might be helpful to fade out the colors a little!

I prefer to use sky dancers for all my bird-look-alike needs! but even if you don't, have you considered some umber scales to mimic the legs/beak?

I love the choice of genes and species! The only suggestion I have is making the wing colour dirt to get more of the cozy light brown hues, and maybe try glowtail as a tertiary to get the tail colouring?

Coincidentally, I recently aquired a dragon that fit colourwise very well with the Sweetpuff

So here's an idea inspired from her. I think Streak does well to imitate the Sweetpuff's wing pattern, and Weathered ads colour to the face.
