I still don't understand how Broken Vessel made it out of the Abyss. Did it escape the same way the player vessel does, but fell to the infection due to it being impure?

I read The Name of the Wind some years ago, and still remember the protagonist, he was quite a character! Haven't gotten around to reading the second book in the series, though... I've heard the author hasn't even gotten around to writing the finale, so maybe that's just as well, lol. Yours is a very cool looking Kvothe - the fiery secondary color, lute apparel, tavern scene, and of course wind element are all great for him.
