Yeah, she and Thor are both a little over 4 years old, and both fandragons. That means that a) I chose the gembond to represent aspects of their costumes (they're based on the comic book characters), and b) I didn't have nearly as many genes to choose from as I would now! I agree with you, though; divorced from the costumes, the gembond is...not great. (Then again, neither are the costumes!)
