There are some terts, I've discovered, that are practically impossible to make work on most any dragon. Swamp is one of them. Sky, Maize- ideal colors for a Windy girl- and then... Swamp. ...let me tell you that green-gray does not agree with Sky and Maize. I guess I have four ones with iffy terts First is my progen girl Orix, now when I chose her colours I wanted them to be fairly monochromatic, obsidian and shadow, at the time I didn't realise I was gonna get a third colour, denim. Who doesn't love a double gen1, especially with matching eyes? So blue. So beautiful~ He was a gift for helping a friend too, so he's never going to leave my hands.

But heck if that rose tert hasn't caused a great number of headaches

He came with his poi/tox genes already and I would rather not replace them, he looks awesome with them. Honestly still praying the art team manages to come up with a tert that I cannot conceive myself, that would make BOSS use of a girlie pink shade on a dark blue dragon without compromising his boss-ness.

But firefly and filigree admittedly look kinda cute? Scry's in bio.

This is Noxious, I remember trying to find what Tertiary gene would suit best. I thought Thylacine for his dirt color kind of went well to look like dark stripes. Even around the eyes to make his face look suitable for a skull or some sort.

Here we have Shaker, my Guardian, I bought her from Auctions when I recently joined months back and thought her color scheme looked rather sinister, the Tertiary gene is Crocodile Smoke, making it look like it has some cool pattern going on the skin.

Lastly, we got Ripple, a Fae breed whose also been bought from Auction and thought it worked well with the Light Flight's apparel from recent's festival. Like looking underwater with a bright light glimmering down the deep, dark ocean below. Thought her Tertiary, Navy Smirch helped add to it by adding some flow to the rippling effect of the water-like pattern on her wings.
