Dragon Share

So, Magnus is a level 25 mage build I originally bought because I wanted to use the snapper skin he currently has equipped. While the skin is still lovely I've gotten tired of it, and he's a bit of an eyesore without it. After playing around with the scrying workshop I think I've found a good set of genes but they'll cost around 300k-ish treasure. Is it worth it to buy essentially a new set of genes, or would I be better off selling him and buying/leveling a new dragon with genes and colors I like more? Also if anyone knows what level 25 mages go for I would really appreciate it!
