Maybe it would help to put in a brief instruction on how to write out the code, for those independent DRONES who don't want to ask for help. (^v^) You (and/or M42) are welcome to take mine, edit or rewrite it, and put it somewhere more prominent.
Basic code format, using the BBCode taken from "Generate Code" button provided on the dragon's bio:

i came across this subspecies recently and i've entirely fallen in love with it. so i'd love to register two dragons i just bought as new mutant drone members of the hive!

Anyways... I’m pinging you all because I was wondering what the requirements for the consciousness are... I couldn’t find any guidelines for them on the front page. Am I just blind? What are they exactly? And are there any variants? Do they have to be a drone themselves or can they be something totally different? @MoonlitCacti - she can be a consciousness as long as there's some explanation for why she doesn't fit the gene requirements - most common that I've seen being improper physical assimilation
for all intents and purposes consciousnesses are essentially mentally upgraded drones

Is this referring to the thread here? Like how people used to post dragon's n all?

@VeniVidiVici - yes, if you see now literally every registered drone is displayed on the front page of this thread. it's a coding nightmare for M42, so with the new registry, we'll only be displaying a max of 5 on the front page. the spreadsheet will list them all, though.

Oo yeah of course, I can see how that gets just. Difficult (and I remember when like, all the halfdrones were purged cause of the text. I imagine it's stressful).
So when we post our hibemind n all in full, we do the doc stuff you linked, but I'm guessing we also comment here like:
"Hello, joining the consciousness, blah blah, here's are five dragons for the front page."
