Morning, afternoon, and night, everybody! Today we've got a new affiliate added to the list - Effluvial Crows! And with them comes a new variant, the Crowdrone, whose extended lore can be found HERE. They're a very neat subspecies (though somewhat difficult to get into for the leveling restriction, but thankfully they've got levelless variants available)

There are no strict lore rules you must follow. For the most part, everything is up to interpretation, so if you wanted a Defective drone that was constantly hunted because of their anomalous nature, you are more than welcome to use the lore that way. Or alternatively, you could have a Defective drone that was deemed irrelevant or harmless and left relatively in peace by any local hives, that can work, too. ('u')

I personally believe in the long game the Hivemind is playing. Since they're all connected, the individual doesn't necessarily matter all that much so long as the collective is successful and thriving, continuing to assimilate and expanding across the world. However, if the individual in question is highly destructive, or if the Consciousness of the local Hive has some kind of personal vendetta (as much as a member of a collective mind can have a personal vendetta, also depending on how you interpret lore) because the Defective came from that Hive originally or because that Consciousness despises Defectives due to their aberrative nature, that can also work for motivation on a singular hunt. Again, this is only my interpretation, you are welcome to your own.
