The coatls knew them as the sick and ill, while plague dragons knew them as a mutation, and light dragons saw them as the purest of beings. In the end, they were none of these. They were just dragons that were pure white, and as this point, trying to survive. It was not hard to thrive in the snow, though survival in the other land, such as the Starfall Islands and Scarred Wasteland where they originated, proved difficult. It was though these circumstances that albino dragons became scarce, easy targets to monsters and beastclans. Just like any creature, they wish for survival, but the pure white of their coat often makes them stick out against the grass, the sea, even the sky. Through the exact same trials which would pick off their numbers, the strongest and smartest of their species would survive. It is these reasons that the albinos alive today are some of the most cunning, tolerant, and powerful of dragons. There are the full Albinos, and then the variants which have been created from branching of the Albino genepool (so still considered Albino, just not the way their ancestors were). These originated within the Sunbeam Runes as Light clans found the pure white colors beautiful. They welcomed Albinos from the Scarred Wasteland and Starfall Islands, where eventually the breeds fell into specific genes. The hatchlings of these dragons then spread, ending up all over Sornieth as they are today. These came from the Albinos within the Viridian Labrynth who adapted patterns to help themselves blend or interact with their environment despite their whote coats. It didn't do much to help them in the end, but now they are some the most favoured Albinos due to their beautiful patterns. They were created out of the variations breeding with others, making it to where there wasn't a technical 'variant' of them. However not wanting them to feel lesser, the Albino dragons came up with the 'mixed' variant-- that way everyone would belong.

[center][size=6][font=lobster]About[/center][/size][/font] [b][u]Behaviour[/b][/u] Albino dragons are not easily grouped into one set personality, as their main quality is their adaptablity. An Albino dragon of the present could be thrown into a completly different situation, and have adapted to survive on their own in a matter of days. They may not have the advantave of camoflague unless in The Southern Icefields, but this is no disadvantage given that they've become good at honing their movements or power. This adaptablity comes from their keen instinct to survive. In the past Albino dragons were easy target, but through years of practice and it being an unpredictable occurance, albino dragons have become some of the most well off dragons alive. They may be small in numbers, all only coming from select ancestors, but they generally are good at whatever their skillset is and can replace it entirely over a shorter amount of times than most dragons. By no means are they invincible though, their coat still makes them easy to find even despite their skills. Once an Albino dragon has found a clan or dragon they become attached to, they're a great asset. They tend to be hyper alert, making them perfect as warriors, mages, and hunters but also gaining an attention to detail from this that makes them good healers, artists, alchemists, and blacksmiths. Most tend to have fairly poor social skills naturally, so unless specifically tought to be a negotiator or actioneer they would not be great at such jobs. To most dragons, an Albinos coat is either seen as a sign of beauty and grace while others see it as a sign of emptyness and something being missing. The way a dragon reacts towards this species is an easy way to tell of wht they think, as they will either be treated as gifts or curses. To dragons such as Imperials and Skydancers, it's most often beauty while Coatls see it as a curse or strange. In the cases of appearance, some Albinos will cover themselves in skins or accents in order to add a bit of brightness or color to their pelt for various reasons. [b][u]Hoards[/b][/u] They often collect depending on their element, but all like things which can be used to their advantage against other creatures or for themselves. This began when albinos would be outcast from clans and have to take their lives into their own hands, leading to the habit of picking up useful items.
