Silks are always a good idea, although they're super expensive!! A gloomwillow guide might also be cute. Or you could try some gold apparel? Stuff like simple gold wing cuffs.

The Daisy apparel set (flowerfall, lei, flower crown, etc) would also look nice with the maize!!
And later on you could always give him a nice accent that works with the pastel theme~
