Stained is such a simple gene, but it lets you create entirely new colors. It's crazy! Can you even imagine when the new color wheel comes out? We'll be drowning in options.

Not super sold on this tert gene yet-seems a bit weird that it came out before the color wheel expansion to me but oh well. The gene confuses my best friend quiet a bit till she realized that really is only a low transparency filter over the dragon. I don't think I am going out of my way to pick up the gene personally, but I may buy a pretty baby in the AH eventually. I did preview it on random dragons via the scy schop. Best combo that I found so far was: Bannana cherub, obsidian facet, tangerine stain. Currently: [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=20432515] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/204326/20432515_350.png[/img] [/url] with stain: [img]http://i.imgur.com/iw7uZAG.png[/img] Other things that I've found that look incredible (and added to my ever expanding list of breeding projects) ivory/maize Basic: [img]http://i.imgur.com/iBXRQ9O.png[/img] With tangerine (a colour i normally cannot stand): [img]http://i.imgur.com/teiXBnh.png[/img] sky/thistle [img]http://i.imgur.com/U4UgTxC.png[/img] with rose: [img]http://i.imgur.com/n0qIdnC.png[/img] if i'm being completely honest, this trick of using a low opacity filter over an entire image to get all your colours settled is something I use all the time as an illustrator when a client wants last minute tweaks, or has a palette that *really* doesnt go together as well as they think. So it's perfect for the toxin/poison and butterfly gene combos that have accent colours that don't always match. At first I thought this gene was a cop out, but its exactly what I want. <3 DESATURATE ALL THE DRAGONS
