TOPIC | FTU: Boop the Snoot Adopts
~ Welcome ~

These 'boop the snoot' bases have been a project that has brought me a ton of joy and I probably will continue to do more bases as new dragons are released. That being said I am now much busier in life and don't have the time I wanted to color and create these adopts as often as I would like, so I wanted to give back to all of you. All of you who have helped inspire me with your excitement and compliments, thank you so much and I hope you are able to use some of these for your selves and your friends!

Table of Contents:
  • Rules
  • Link to Downloads (outlines and .PSDs)
  • Guides on using the PSDs (under construction)
  • Art tips and tricks (under construction)
  • Art Gallery

Please, I would love to see anything you make!
Not necessary but you can post it here or send me a PM! I love to see everyone's creativity and excitement with their dragons :]

Please read all of the rules before you use them:

Things you can do with the bases:
  • Color the base
WWW~ Inside and outside the lines, go crazy
WWW~ If using the final colored image on FR obviously follow their guidelines
  • Add apparel and accents that overlap the existing lines
  • Recolor the lines if black outlines aren't your thing
  • Erase parts of the lineart to fit your dragon
  • Resize and/or flip the image
WWW~ It would be cool if you flip the signature but it's not the biggest deal
  • You can use your colored adopt anywhere on site!

Things you can not do with the bases:
  • Do not remove my signature and/or FR ID
WWW~ Moving the signature to a different spot is okay, as long as it's visible
  • Do not claim the design or line art as your own
  • Do not re-sell these or profit off of them in any way - You can color these for friends or others, but I would rather people not open their own adopt shop using my bases.
  • Do not re-post these outside of Flight Rising without linking it back to this page or the original adopt page
  • Do not use these in any way as NFTs or in AI image training

These are free for your personal use, so no need for payment! If you want to send a tip I wouldn't be opposed but it is not required or excepted at all. I just want people to have fun art of their dragons!

I can't guarantee that everything will work instantly for every program, but I tried to name all the layers appropriately to help and will make guide for the programs I am able to test the PSDs in. The layers named 'Something Mask' are the main outlines and clipping layers that will help you save time coloring in parts of the base, and their correspondingly named 'Something Fill' layer are where you should color to you hearts content without drawing outside the lines. I will make more guides later, sorry i have no time atm [emoji=coatl sad size=1] Outlines: How to use: You should be able to right click on the image to save it on your computer as a png to save the transparency, then you can drop it into an art program of your choice. Or you can drop it into a word doc, print it off, and color it by hand! [under construction. I will update this more when I have time!!]

- Guide on PSDs -
  • Photopea is a free art tool that runs in you web browser that works basically like photoshop!
  • All the 'mask' layers should help you save time keeping certain colors inside the lines.
  • If you wanted to erase part of the adopt (example your dragon has a tear in their wing) you will have to erase the the 'mask' layers (linear / shadows / wing color ect.)
  • If you want versions that will fit in your signature I found that Exporting your drawing + the background rectangle layer and resizing it to be 100px tall using the bicubic export setting turned out nice results

-Art tips and tricks-
  • If you wish to have two dragons ‘boop snoots’ make sure to export your colored version with the ‘background rectangle’ layer and then when combing your two dragons together everything should easily snap into place.
  • The shadow layer should be set to multiply and you can chose different colors to fill it to get the best colorful shadows. It is a default pink/purple but you might want to change it to a more blue hue if you have green or blue dragons. Or a more yellow orange hue for lighter / yellower dragons. There is no right or wrong way to color them, feel free to see what you think looks best to you!
  • To make your art pop and seem more vibrant color the 'lineart fill' layer a color other than black. It really helps lighter color dragons and colorful dragons if you pick a darker value color that they already have in their color pallet and color the lines with that instead of black (I think that was confusing sorry)

@Boop the Snoot Adoptables - General
Hello all! As promised here are all the outlines and links to downloadable PSDs for all the boop the snoot adopts I've made at the moment!

Please let me know if I somehow missed something or if the links aren't working and I will try to fix that asap. I want to put together a complete guide on how to use this, possibly how to open and use the PSDs in different art programs but I can only test so many, so let me know if something doesn't work in a certain program and I can help you figure that out!

That being said happy coloring everyone! Please feel free to share your creations either with me or here on this page if you want!
