Erzulie gave herself and her clan over to the Plaguebringer in exchange for land and power. Erzulie agreed to these terms and her Wind clan soon became a powerful clan devoted solely to the Plaguebringer and her wasteland of rot. Eventually, Erzulie had all the power she wanted and a literal god to back her in doing so, although her subjects started turning over to a "darkness and evil" that she couldn’t begin to describe, let alone understand, and the Queen’s horrid reign of power-hungry decisions soon became a twisted mess of wickedness and spite. Her hate for the Wastelands and the Plaguebringer slowly grew, and Erzulie had a city known as Versaille built to shield herself and those of her chosen subjects from the rotting carcass of land that they inhabited. An oasis surrounded by death and decay. Several years had passed before Erzulie finally started to notice how the Plaguebringer's territory had finally began to succumb her 'outcast' dragons to it. Dragons new and old had begun to rally against their wicked Queen - fighting to obtain new power over those that had left them. As the rebellion brewed, Queen Erzulie finally made the decision to split the Wastelands into factions in an attempt to control the growing powers and regain control. This had turned out successful, although disease quickly spread through the dragons of the Wastelands, devastating those who'd lost loved ones to the vice-grip of the illness. The Queen blamed the Plaguebringer for the tremendous loss, and soon separated the sick from what remained of the healthy in order to save them and hopefully control the illness with a strict quarantine. As the Queen watches from Versaille, she can see the sickness slipping through the cracks... although can do nothing more than watch. |

VERSAILLE
The oasis Queen Erzulie had constructed to shield herself, her family, and others she chose to be of high class from the rot of the Wastelands.

THE WASTELANDS
Following her agreement with the Plaguebringer, Queen Erzulie had been given a relatively large portion of the deity's domain as her own.
The Queen was quick to build Versaille and left the remainder of her clan - those she didn't deem of "high status" - to the rotting territory her clan had been so graciously given. Angry with their leader, the dragons left to the Wastelands turned to the Plaguebringer and began to worship their newfound deity and all she stood for while despising the choices and lifestyle of the Versaille inhabitants.
As their hate for Erzulie and the inhabitants of Versaille grew, the began to plan rebellion against their once feared "leader." Unfortunately for them, Erzulie had spies set among them, and quickly split the rebelling dragons into Factions to contain their growing power.
This worked, and to this day the Wastelands remains separated into several factions that serve their own and war among themselves, rather than against Erzulie and her wicked plot.

The High-Court
Location in Versaille
Location in Versaille
In the center of Versaille lies a rather large building, the largest building in the city besides the palace. Within it lies the High-Court, the place where decisions are made for the entirety of Ekriele. The Royal family, numerous advisors, and a number of hand-picked Arch-Mages line the table of this court, and decide the fate of the kingdom. Although most decisions seem to sway in Queen Erzulie's favor...
The Archives
Location in Versaille
Within Versaille lies the Archives, a building nearly as large as the Palace and the High Court. The building itself is managed by Dismal, the Librarian, who ensures that everything is organized for use by her majesty, Queen Erzulie, and the other members of the High Court - including the Archmages.
The Archives house the largest collection of books, scrolls, files, and numerous other important documents about the entire kingdom, and by far is one of the most important locations in Versaille besides the High Court itself.

The Servant's Quarters
Location in Versaille
Location in Versaille
On the edge of the city of Versaille lies a building hidden amongst the immense shrubbery that brings life to the city in the Wastelands. Housed within it is a hatchery, oddly enough, and a number of different rooms used to both indoctrinate young hatchlings and house the living quarters of numerous servants of the Royal family, members of the High Court, and many other dragons in Versaille. They only live to serve them.
The Arena
Faction of the Wastelands
Faction of the Wastelands
Within the ruins of a long destroyed coliseum lays the Arena Faction - a large group of dragons hell-bent on war and led by the most violent of Generals: Thalassa.
Long before Queen Erzulie split the factions, General Thalassa had been a loyal member of the royal guard before her queen and the others in Versaille turned their back on herself and many other soldiers that had once been loyal to the QueeN. In a demand for justice, Thalassa and her rag-tag group of followers joined the efforts of the rebellion only to be cast into their own group by the queen and her new legion of rich warriors. Defeated, General Thalassa led her small group of followers to the destroyed remnants of where the meagre war had taken place and claimed the building as her own.
The Arena remains standing despite the battles that wage within it, new recruits face skilled warriors and often fall, but General Thalassa's ever-growing rage remains as she builds a strong and ruthless army in preparation for war.

The Lab
Faction of the Wastelands
Faction of the Wastelands
As the rebellion grew stronger, Queen Erzulie pushed her scientists to improve their techniques in an attempt to build a stronger force against the growing powers in the Wastelands. Many scientists gave up or gave in, and the Queen soon appointed two new scientists from the Wastelands for their abilities in their craft: Sunder and Cerebrus. A scientist with a knack for Frankenstein-like improvement and a surgeon with a passion for turning dragons into living machines.
When Queen Erzulie finally created the Factions, her Wasteland scientists suffered the same fate. They were cast back into the Wastelands and given their own faction, the Lab, where their sick experiments continue with little if any, control.

Here is where the fun begins. Here is where the scientists tear others apart for their own twisted game. Here's where many lay to rest while others rise.... rise as monsters.

The Alchemy Lab
Location in the Lab
Hidden within the lab is another foully twisted place, another foully twisted dragon, Clover - the Alchemist.
This is where she performs her experiments, less on the side of pulling being apart and putting them back together but on the basis of mutating dragons into something new, into something unnatural. Her experiments have led her on several occasions to experiment on herself - resulting in some of the most grisly mutations and powers that not even the Plaguebringer could dream of.

Faction of the Wastelands
When sickness spread like wildfire through the entirety of Queen Erzulie's clan, she allowed her self-proclaimed plague doctor the power over their care - in the Wastelands that is.
Miasma's methods are questionable and the disease continues to mutate despite continued attempts to rid the clan of it. Although steps have been taken, the plague doctor himself doesn't look so good either-

Slaughterhouse-5
Faction of the Wastelands
Faction of the Wastelands
When Queen Erzulie finally dethroned the leader of the rebellion, Reaper, she cast the Skydancer and the rest of her most loyal, wicked, and blood-thirsty followers to what she called the "Slaughterhouse" faction.
Rebuilt a total of five times, this faction is by far the largest and makes the majority of the other factions look weak. Led by their cruel leader, Reaper, they continue to harness the Plague-magic of the Wastelands and worship the Plaguebringer herself, and continue to strike fear into the hearts of everyone they come across.
Reaper and the rest of her faction are waiting for a chance to strike and dethrone Erzulie and defeat every other dragon in Versaille, no matter what it takes.
