affiliates is basically kinda like advertising! you post a link to the other person's shop (generally with a banner) and they post a link to your shop! any foot traffic one shop gets may also help the affiliate get some business as well!

i'm sorry if this doesn't make much sense, i've never been very good at explaining things ee (ó?ò?)
