Hey so I was thinking this could be a place to show off some art your proud of, talk about a commission you had done or just rant about your favorite artist. This might even be a good place to ask for critiques if you want them and to post links to where we can find more of your art.
Let me just start this off then. I'm 16 and have only been seriously trying to improve at art for about 4 years now. Some of my favorite mediums to work with are just pencil and sketching but I also am trying to learn watercolors and how to become a digital artist. I am also dabbling in animation but dang it takes a lot of work and concentration, I need a lot more practice I guess.

Hello, I'm JDArtist, but feel free to call me JD. I just graduated with a bachelor of arts in creative writing and studio art. It is my goal to be a published writer and illustrator.
I have been fortunate enough to have some great writing and art mentors through my academic career, and I have experience ranging from illustrating children's books (I'm also a member in the Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators), printing etchings and linoleum prints for big name illustrators, and sketching/printing/etching my own stories and pieces.
I work in a variety of mediums, from markers, colored pencils, watercolor, digital, many forms of printmaking (etching, linoleum block cut, monotype), digital, multi-media, sculpture, and textiles (mainly stuffed animals).
All kinds of my art can be viewed on my tumblr,

I'll be opening commissions for art and plushies in the near future once I get more organized. :)

Yeah, I've improved a lot if you look at how little time passed between improvements. ;w;

I have improved an insane amount digitally. I am drawing a lot more now and it's really paying off.
