this crashed my computer so many times but I'm gonna call it done now. Mostly because I am in serious pain from carpal tunnels ;w; reminder to everyone to do their hand stretches because it is NOT FUN, trust me

Gah! I've completely finished the design save for the three digital coloring spots; is there and way that I can turn the edited version in tomorrow? I swear, I have put 10+ hours into this, and I really would love for it to be judged...
I will try to edit this post with my current progress if the rollover allows.

Another user also requested a small extension, so since you both asked while the contest was open, I'm happy to accept both entries late. I'm setting a cutoff time of 7am FR time just because I'm hoping to start the judging after that! (It's gonna be pretty hard to judge this thing XD) Hopefully that is enough time.

I wanted to color it using natural materials, and then add the glow as well as the beard in a digital photo editing program. The materials used:
- Pine cone scales
- Leaves
- Dirt
- Sticks
- Rock
- Rotted bark
- Moss
- And an insect who made his home in the moss. ^_^'
As I can't keep this project, all materials used will be placed back into my garden to decompose. (Or to be free once again, as in the insect's case.) Woo! My god, it's
finally done. Hope that Beard Mama likes her portrait.
