I tried to update my art dump yesterday only to find that it won't display the image. It stays as [img] insert link [/img]. At first I thought maybe it had something to do with dA changing its something or other recently, so I reuploaded the drawing on imgur and got the same result. I've even tried opening one of my dragons in a different tab and putting her link between the brackets to see if it was something to do with my drawing's file type, but no dice. It won't display her either. I checked the creative corner and found other people's art dumps they started today and all their images are fine. I dunno if it's something with the forums or Chrome itself. Shouldn't be my tablet; it's been restarted, turned off, and had its cache cleared since I noticed this problem yesterday. One more try. @Dracoyena Images need to end in a file extension to work. The link your using is to the Imgur Album and not the image itself. You'll want to right-click on the image and either open it in a new tab to copy the img url or click 'copy image location' from the right-click menu [code][img]https://i.imgur.com/ztf7yzH.jpg[/img][/code] [img]https://i.imgur.com/ztf7yzH.jpg[/img] [b]Edit:[/b] As a note, Deviantart and Sta.sh are having issues with their URLs so it's still a good idea to use a different hosting service for the time being.

As for the dragon issue - right clicking and copying the image of a dragon will give you a url similar to this: http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/177582/17758180_350.png[b]?mtime=XLZoTwACT-o[/b] You'll want to delete the bolded text or really anything else that comes after the file extension (.png in this case) [code][img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/177582/17758180_350.png[/img][/code] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/177582/17758180_350.png[/img] In the case of sharing dragons though, it's easier to click the "Generate Code" button on their page.

Ah, I see. Yeah, I'm still very new to imgur. And I knew about the generate code for dragons, I was just trying that as a test. Thanks for the help.

[/quote] So the issue is with Deviantart? I've been having picture problems too, but I don't want to use a different image site. I don't have an account with any other site and I would prefer not to have to make one.

I know 100% that sta.sh isn't compatible. I'm not 100% on Deviantart but I do know the two sites are connected and have heard several cases of both sites having the same issues.

Most believe, or it might have been clarified - I'm not sure. But as far as I'm aware, both sites have changed their URL system specifically to preventing people from posting images that are hosted on either site to others. The biggest theories I've seen are for revenue purposes (Since if you're looking at an image on FR it's not giving Deviantart/Sta.sh any revenue) and/or the strains on their servers from hosting images that appear across the web instead of just on their own site.

So you can still link with standard links but actually posting the image has become borderline impossible due to how they've altered their URL system.

That's a lot of text but basically TLDR; Yes, it's deviantart/Sta.sh as they've recently changed their URL system. You're better off using Tumblr, Imgur, etc. Imgur is a popular option and doesn't require an account to use, although it's useful to keep things organized/accessible.
