As of now, the most documented specimens hail from the Viridian Labyrinth, though there have been accounts of variations being seen as far as the Windswept Plateau or even the Southern Icefield. Reports and information are suspiciously scarce for a species which is supposedly found in abundance in each continent. When we requested proof of the existence of foliophysis mimetica Fumo interjected, stating: "We'll get it eventually. There's several scholars on the field throughout Sornieth trying to finally give us credibility. We have faith that something will come up soon."[/columns] Since the first ever publishing regarding the species was released, multiple alleged sightings throughout Sornieth have been declared, though photographic evidence remains scarce. Skeptics are denouncing the whole thing, stating that it is nothing but a "cry for attention". Until a live specimen is captured or photographic evidence is released to the public, we leave it up to the reader to decide for themselves whether they believe Stemsprites to be a real species or one giant sham.

Foliophysis mimetica, as artistically portrayed by Fumo
Foliophysis mimetica, referred to more commonly by the name "Stemsprites", are a subspecies of the Everlux breed which has recently been sighted in several parts of Sornieth and has been making waves in academic circles. As of now, the most documented specimens hail from the Viridian Labyrinth, though there have been accounts of variations being seen as far as the Windswept Plateau or even the Southern Icefield. A meeting with new members of the Anomalous Species Research Association (ASRA)

As dragons enter the hall and take their seats, the Aether couple—one white and the other grey—wait with big grins by the podium. Once the chatter has died down and it's silent enough to begin, the white Aether, Nuvem, begins to speak. His clear voice carries easily throughout the (now pretty cramped) room, projecting confidence.

"Greetings, fellow pursuers of truth! Thank you for coming to my lecture on foliophysis mimetica. Your presence is much appreciated, as you know how the media has decided to portray our endeavors." He frowns, a clenched paw smacking the wooden podium with a thud, causing some in the audience to jump in their seats. "A load of baloney, all of it! Stemsprites are real, and after I tell you what to be on the lookout for, hopefully you will all be my extra eyes and ears on the field throughout the continents, assisting us in our quest to record these fascinating specimens!"

"So, let's cut to the chase: what exactly is a Stemsprite? I'll be listing the defining characteristics of the subspecies."

The Aether dragon raises his clenched paw above the podium, raising a digit with each addition to the list:

 • "They are copycats of their surroundings: using what I believe to be some form of glue-like substance they can produce, they attach vegetation from their habitats on each other's and their own bodies to adapt and camouflage."
 • "They are solely herbivorous in nature. This is what allows them to remain still for such prolonged stretches of time, making spotting them ridiculously difficult."
 • "No sound appears to be produced by the creatures: they are (for now) considered to be either incapable of producing noise or are producing them outside of a range that can be heard by any dragon. No natural predators have been found actively seeking out these creatures, so we can also guess they might be unable to hear them, too. This leads to the next point:"
 • "There is a possibility they are poisonous or venomous. Now, I see how this may complicate things for some of you, but we aren't sure! So it could be totally bogus and you're fine and safe, so if you see one, try and get it!"

"That concludes my introduction! Now get out there and catalogue those creatures! Our fellow academics will mock us no longer!"

I'm really, really happy and relieved to finally announce what's been my project since the release of the Everlux breed: Stemsprites! I'm still pretty new to Flight Rising, but the creativity people have here is absolutely inspiring. I worked hard to make these little guys a reality and I spared no expense making sure I'm happy with them. Hopefully, you are too!

This was my first ever project and I'm happy to be finished with the skeleton. The art was done by me, as a first try at something of the sort. Special thanks to all my friends that supported me through this, and for the people that helped me find the perfect mates! Hope you all like it :)

Releasing with two breeding pairs... I will be making and adding more, and I have another subspecies for another breed in the same vein planned, but to be honest I am super nervous and I want to see how this is received first.

I guess with that it's OPEN! :D I'm glad to be done. There is another pair coming soon that I am excited about as well. In case the roleplay wording made it kind of hard to understand: I am willing to discuss and alter prices so long as they go to loving homes. If you want lore/a blurb written on the dragon's bio, I can also do that :) Would love feedback, or anything that you think should change/be added. Thank you for reading [emoji=familiar heart size=1]
