Do both parents need to have the Eye Spot gene or all the genes??
Not really. What I'm looking for is a pair that can create offspring with Clown/Tiger,Eye Spot, Underbelly/Basic. If both parents don't have it, thats fine as long as a color criteria is met.
But when you post a hatchling to sell on here, it must have the genes listed in the Quote Box Below
FOR EXAMPLE!
One dragon is IrishimUnderbelly and the other is TigerEyeSpotBasic: They can make a Moth~
I bet you're asking
"But Citrus? Why so lax?"
I've done a lot of looking around and some estimates and there are hardly any moths with popular colors. If there were any, they may have been exalted. Thats sad. So i'm not going to be a huge stickler about it, I just want the moth population to come back up to stable numbers~
Overall
If either parent has the genes listed below and can produce offspring with those gene combos, then they are a moth breeding pair.
About Tree Moths
Tree Moth Breeding can get a little odd because either of the three color slots can be in the browns or in the greens. In order for the hatchlings to be considered Tree Moths, the range between the parents must stay within either the browns or the greens
For example, if both parents have a Brown Family Primary and Green Family Secondary and Tertiaries, the offspring will also have Browns, Greens, Greens.
But if one parent has a Greens Primary, but the other has a Browns Primary, the Primary in the offspring will have a Primary that's either in the Greens, Yellows, Oranges or Browns, thus now classified as a Rainbow Moth Pair instead with the chance of making Fluke Tree Moths
UPDATE: Due to Popular Concensus~ the very bird like Seraph gene is now an official qualification~! And the list keeps growing! Thank you Ariathena for suggesting so~ And Pandonkey's lovely griffon tundra~

Does breed matter?
Nope~ Only Genes~
As long as the pair can produce offspring with the genes listed above~
Will there be a ranking system?
Not at the moment. Mostly because the gene and color combos are a challenge enough to find without putting breed rarity and other stuff on top of that. I just want people who join in the hub to have fun and hopefully I can share my love for this gene combo with everyone else~
Why Basic?
It makes things a little easier and still manages to allow the dragon to look natural and wild!
What are these Fluke Badges for? What are Flukes?
Over all, Flukes are what happens when a pair
isn't guaranteed to make a certain color range 100% of the time but the potential is there. For instance the Dad's colors are
blue blue blue but the Mother's colors are
blue blue orange, they'd be considered a Fluke Flower Pair because their tertiary colors may or may not produce a hatchling with a
blue - purple range tertiary color.
If this is the case, I'll sort the pair and the breeder into the Rainbow Moth breeders' section with "Fluke Flower" over the pair.
Do I need a Hatchery to Join?
No~ If you don't have one, I'll link to your user page
How do I update my Breeder Status?
If you want a pair to be added, or taken down, just ping me and I'll make the adjustments~ If you want to apply for other breeding classifications, you can readmit the application with your new pair like normal~
If you went through a name change, that's easy enough to fix because I have your ID number. The User Icons I place on top of the names will show me immediately if there has been a change of name and I'll correct that ASAP!
Also, even if you forget to tell me about recent updates, I'm always checking in on my breeders to make sure and let them know about changes I've noticed~
