There are times when Annelise feels trapped by the near-overbearing weight of Lenore's twisted love for her. In spite of this, though, the Skydancer is convinced that they are meant to be. To her, Lenore is the one who she's been wanting her entire life. The way she sees it, the large amounts of attention and doting from Lenore are a welcome respite. It's hard to say, from an outside perspective, if she truly feels content- yet Annelise is committed to making this work out for her and Lenore.

It's no secret to the clan that Pythia and Cain did not choose to be together. it's common knowledge that the pair were, essentially, a false relationship arranged by the twins. Strangely enough, no one had ever thought to ask Pythia what she thought about this... or perhaps, they just didn't care. Over time, the Imperial began to grow resentful of Cain, but moreso of her clan as a whole. She did not choose this, he did not choose this. The seeds of strife sown in her heart feel like barbs in her chest at times, but she knows she has no real choice in the matter. She was in this situation whether she liked it or not.
