Many of us have art wishlists, but sometimes the art we dream of having isn't easy to get - especially if it’s highly specific, features multiple characters, or is set against a detailed background. My art is pencilled and inked traditionally and then coloured digitally. I am not a painter, and I use layers of flat colours to colour all of my pieces. I can do some level of lineless painting in the background if that is what you want, but characters will always be lined. When it comes to drawing characters, my style varies between more detailed or more simple/cartoony depending on the image. However, even my more detailed characters are not hyper-realistic, and stylistically lean more toward, say, American comics/graphic novels (such as in the header image). Hello! Do you have any examples of your tarot card work specfically?

@Njerri Thank you so much! <3 I could draw him, yes! A bust with a flowery bg sounds super fun to draw :D Were you thinking more of a flower patterned bg or of flowers growing up around him? For a bust, I'm thinking $18 for a simple flower background (just a few flowers or a pattern, simple colours), $25 for more of a garden around him. This would be for an image where Erja is the main focus/takes up most of the space. If you wanted a bigger or more detailed background, or a half-body/full-body, we could discuss that too. :) Let me know what you think!


@carriontime Ooh, let me see. I keep wanting to do tarot art as I have a lot of interest in it (I have 2 decks and read for myself for fun), but I haven't got much in the way of examples. I did do a matching set a year or two ago (piece 1, piece 2, plus the first brainstorming sketches for those). I did a print of the Star for a holiday card... a long while back. That's all I can find that is specifically tarot! (I do a lot of prints, and that graphic sort of approach I think works well with tarot.)

I took influence from tarot art in this piece. Currently I think I might approach it in this sort of style, but coloured (black & white piece, warning for mild decorative body horror - small flowers growing from character). Or, you know, whatever works! Obviously it depends on the card chosen & the nature of the character(s) to be featured as well.

@voidbeast Yeah, mixed payment! For simpler commissions, though, (let's say $40 and under) I'd be willing to take full payment in gems if someone preferred to pay that way.

i'd hate for your background skills to go to waste so i'd be going for something bigger, would it be rude to ask for a quote so far in advance though? i probably wouldn't be able to grab something until next year but a comic book style is super cool so i want to be able to budget that in
