Grindet Bio
A stoic, focused mage, it was to the awe and wonder of many in the clan that Grindet had come to master the delivery of his spells through his tarot cards. A flick of a hand, and a fortune could be told - kings made or empires left to fall. A graceful slide of mist and blue-backed paper, and a foe could be reduced to nothing more than ashes at his feet, an ally brought back from the dead by a stroke of perfect timing. The imperial was near as imposing as his reputation.

But like the two faces of his many cards, Grindet had another side entirely. Around his mate, Eulalie, the fearsome bastion of magic and destiny was nothing more than a starry-eyed lover. To her, he was a protector, a friend, an equal partner, and a confidant. He loved nothing more than dropping his mysterious guise, to go from imposing stranger to the affection of being known and loved and cared for. Eulalie was his everything, and he'd do anything for her.

Eulalie Bio
A far cry from the clan's many dangerous, imposing, or neigh-legendary heroes, Eulalie was plenty happy with her simple life of helping where she could. The snapper knew she need not focus on the particulars of defenses or bloodshed, there were many others who'd done those things, and frankly, she thought the clan could use something a bit kinder and less fearsome than that. Instead, Eulalie figured she was better off working the jobs between jobs; making sure residues were swept up from dangerous alchemy, so no one got hurt, keeping the clan's livestock content between feeds with a bit of tea and lavender given to them as snacks, and - if she was lucky - helping grind down ingredients for Astraeus (for that was her favorite way to help).

The other clan members could protect her while she kept on her helping, after all. Her lifemate, Grindet, was plenty fearsome and plenty protective on his own. The snapper was nearly certain there wasn't a threat he couldn't see years in advance, no foe he couldn't get rid of with a wave of his hand. Eulalie preferred him at his softest though, when they were laid together reading after a warm meal, content just to be next to one another, tail wrapped around tail.
