Trying to find the artist | Art Sales

So awhile back, a friend of mine gifted me a dragon, Zalaele. It was never properly credited in the dragon's bio and I'd like to be able to do so, but the only clue I have as to who made it is the "Chex" signed on it. A quick user search didn't pull up a whole lot, and I was hoping that someone here had an idea. I apologize if this is in the wrong forum, I haven't used the forums very much and figured this would be the best place to start. I know that we probably won't pull up anything, but I figured that it was worth the shot. If I [i]can't[/i] find the artist, should I remove the art or keep it? It has their signature on it, and I won't be claiming that it's mine, but I'd feel bad not knowing who the artist is and displaying it anyway. Then again, I'm assuming that the person I got the dragon from paid for this art, and I'd feel bad removing it because they specifically requested that it stay. I'm in a bit of a dilemma here so I'm hoping to clear it up.
