Apparel: Yes: Mushrooms, cobwebs, and his wing spikes, but you can take some artistic liberties with those, he's a botanist not a fighter so they needn't look like armor, more like decoration.
Other: I'd like him to have an almost bioluminescent look, he lives underground in the dark tending to bioluminescent plants and fungi, and collecting glowing bugs.
