We have combed through many of the issues that the rollback has caused. Below are some of the things that we have recently done:
As for the Gilded Chests -- if you were among the group that opened multiple chests, the staff would be humbled and appreciative if you would mail them directly to one of us (or the Arcanist!). In the event that the chests have been looted already, whatever you feel may be the approximate value of those opened chests would also be wonderful.
EDIT: Additionally, we have received word from our server administrators that the backup was going by Eastern Standard Time, and so we will be continuing issuing paypal and google checkout refunds that occurred during the "timeslip."
We will continue to monitor things and make fixes where we can. Thank you so much for your patience this evening!
What Happened:
We identified an issue that was allowing users to duplicate gold, gems, and items when sent through the message system. These deliveries were not properly being deducted from the senders account, which led to a large rash of exploitation. We identified the issue early this morning and placed the site into maintenance, and we now believe it to be resolved.
How It Affects You:
There is no easy way to say this, but in order to protect the economy of the site, we did perform a database rollback to last midnight server time (so, about 14 hours from this post). Because the site went into maintenance at about 7:30am, that means all changes made to the site in those 7 hours have been reverted.
We understand how frustrating and distressing something like this is, but it was a decision that had to be made to keep the site from considerable economic damage. Please know that it was not an easy one. Also know that this affected everyone equally. Everything essentially jumped back in time 7 hours or so. A timeslip of sorts. You should be able to hook up with your transaction partners again and essentially perform many of the same trades as before.
What is Next?
While we unfortunately will not be able to reinstate data that happened post-rollback, the following things are going to take place:
We can't overstate our appreciation for having such an understanding userbase while we move through some rough water. Thank you for your dedication and patience; we will continue to work as hard as possible to maintain Flight Rising as a quality place for you to enjoy yourselves. :)

- Pinkerton's Plundered Pile has been reset; everyone will have a chance at an item today
- Dragon breeding cooldowns have all been lowered by one full day.
- All members have been granted 15 Gathering turns for this day.
- Dragons were fed again very recently.
- All eggs that were in a rotted state and have been returned to healthy.
- All users that were missing a care package should now have one awaiting them.
- All unclaimed Care Packages that had 20 Gilded Chests in them have been reduced to 1.

- The Arcanist will be sending all users 5,000 treasure, 30 Charged Sprockets, 1 Gilded Chest, and 20 of every type of food.
- Your eggs will be incubated, and your dragons' energy will be replenished.
- The end date of the Thundercrack Carnivale has been extended to Tuesday, July 30, at 11:59 server time.
- We will be bringing the site out of maintenance as soon as possible; there are a few more tests to conduct.
