Verrine
Council Member
Nature As the Nature Council Member of the clan, Verrine takes her strength, and appearance, from the harvest season - autumn - when there is an abundance of food and falling leaves, and the flurry of activity of the world preparing for the coming winter. She does not represent her flight by caring for a garden, or tending plants, she spends her days nurturing the small hatchlings of the clan. She is one of the only dragons in the lair that can control the little ones, they love and adore her, with her kind, lighthearted nature. She patiently teaches them to count and read, listens to their made up tales and stories, tends to their scratches and scrapes, and takes them on field trips around the Shifting Expanse to teach them about the world. She is calm, patient, and relaxed, like a warm, lazy autumn day... until her charges are threatened, then she will remind you how quickly Mother Nature can change from a gentle fall breeze to a thundering, raging tornado... One day while walking through the Carrion Canyon, on a field trip to learn about the indigenous flora and fauna of the area, a Deadwood Boar came charging towards the hatchlings along the narrow canyon. Where it came from, how it got there, no one knew, and it didn't really matter right then and there. The hatchlings all screeched in fear, and scattered, but there was no where to run. And with a deafening roar, and the force of a raging tornado, Verrine descended on the boar- raging winds tore though the canyon tearing rocks from walls, nothing could be heard over the thunderous whirlwind. The winds subsided, and the boar was gone. They never found any trace of it, except for the remnant of one tusk, all the way across the Highland Scrub. The lair scouts and guards arrived minutes later, they had heard the winds from miles away, and asked if anyone was hurt. But Verrine smiled, and said there was no need for concern, just a little altercation with the local wildlife. She spread her wings around her trembling charges, and walked them home.
