Belnan is sweet natured and surprisingly bashful for a coliseum fighter. He fights with Roihutar and Oberon, being the team's tank and protector, guarding them from harm.

He once had his heart broken by a manipulative imperial. She wanted to create her own dynasty and take over to rule the lands, abandoning Belnan the instant she found herself more suitable male.

His team mates once got him a hainu puppy after the ordeal, to make him feel better, and the fluffy friend remains his loyal companion. The hainu's name is Water Lily.

His feelings are being mended further by a cheery tundra, Brighid, who recently decided that he was her friend. He seems to enjoy her company.
