History:
Along with curiosity creativity sparked in Imhotep’s eye. It is said that when he was a hatchling he was always making elaborate sandcastles on the shore of the Crystalspine Reaches, each one becoming more complex and sturdy. Back then (though most clan members have difficulty believing it) Imhotep was a guardian dragon, and when he grew up he went across the mountains to search for a charge.
This was when Imhotep first met Runelight. He saw the tiny fae trying her best to move large boulders with her magic to form some sort of hut. Out of pity he came over to help, asking why she would try such a feat herself. When he heard her goal to form a clan focused on studying the night sky and incorporating any and all dragons that wished to join, he realized the clan was the charge he was looking for. And as a bonus he would be the one forming the lair, as little Runelight, despite her enthusiasm, had little idea what she was doing. His charge would let his architectural creativity take flight.
Thus he became Runelight’s fellow co-founder and the architect for the new clan. He even came up with the clan's name. He had heard a legend of a necropolis that existed in the Sunbeam Ruins, a large cemetery the size of a city. At first Runelight thought that sharing the name of a necropolis could be an ill omen, but Imhotep explained how death could be symbolic of something’s end, and thus something else’s beginning. After some persuasion Runelight became convinced it was acceptable, and the clan was named Saqqara.

Quirks:
While his large size makes the actual building process difficult at times, as he cannot fit into the smaller caves and huts, moving rocks, logs, and other building materials is quite easy. He can also survey the area easily and can draw his blueprints to scale right on the ground where he will build.
Unlike most imperials, which tend to be aloof and distant, Imhotep is very social, hospitable, and engaging, though he can become quite bored if the discussion is just gossip. He would rather discuss history, recent discoveries, his recent projects, or other dragons' projects. Though once he gets involved in a new build he becomes quite absorbed and it usually takes Runelight yelling into his ear (as she hangs onto his ear mind you) to get him to stop.
