B I O G R A P H Y

When he was a small hatchling, he and his sister were separated from their parents and got lost, and he grew very ill on the meager meals they were able to scrounge up. Thanks to being caught by the dragons they were trying to rob the food stores of, both he and his sister Kahlena found the clan they would call home for the rest of their lives.

Erithane lended his skills with a quill to his clan and became the clan's first Scribe, keeping records and taking letters meant to be the official word from Amarayne. Of course, his pen wasn't only set for business, he once wrote a good deal of poetry as well. His muse was his first love Viera, daughter of the clan founders. Their relationship was cut short, however, when she decided to serve her god for the glory of the clan. He has never been the same since, and neither has what little poetry he does produce.

Usually in the library sorting the books, Erithane spends his days busying himself in paper and ink. Though occasionally his former mate Viera does come by, the visits are brief and leave him feeling more melancholy than happy afterwards. He's a devoted father to the son she left behind, Pallon, but usually the fae is distant and cold and Erithane simply doesn't know how to reach him.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Be on your best behavior in his library. Erithane has been known to be harsh to those who get rough with the books. Truly unpleasant scrub duty awaits those unfortunate souls who rip or stain the precious literature, and those who totally destroy books are never heard from again--or so the stories say. No one has dared attempt to harm the tomes on purpose, especially since many protective charms are laid upon them that would no doubt respond violently to a voluntary attack on the item they're meant to protect. Funny as it is to see the tiny fae gesture and flush in his anger, troublemakers find other targets less trouble.

Like many of his element, he loves learning about magic, technology, and the natural world. Stars especially hold his fancy, and he has a very delicate and expensive telescope that comes out on clear nights. Most of the star maps in the library were penned by his claw, and they are both accurate and detailed. He has kept these updated for years, and allows the scholars to read them at their leisure, should he know they're trustworthy, of course.

Kahlena is both his sister and his guardian, something he has come to accept. When he was younger her need to defend him was a source of irritation, and he would fervently deny her claims. He has since matured and accepts her claims with respect. Besides, she has become much less of an overbearing presence as he is usually tucked safely in his library and she commands the Guard.
