Isk is the goddess of a kingdom that has long since been forgotten. She fell from a mysterious ailment shortly after her kingdom's defeat in the war against Illumra. While she isn't quite sure what it was or how it happened, Isk remains in a state similar to that of Fragment's. For clarity's sake: a ghost.
When Isk fell, her kingdom followed shortly after. News of Isk's fate never quite escaped the borders of the (now fallen) kingdom though. In fact, her own citizens were not 100% sure of what had happened to her, if she was truly dead or not. Many suspected that Isk was simply retreating to nurse her wounds in whatever spiritual world she had originated from. And while the rumors of her death were thrown around occasionally, it never really developed into anything more.
To the mortals that still remember her, Isk has simply seemed to have abandonded the mortal world. Though, that isn't quite the case.
