Drakath's life was changed forever when he was just a hatchling. Once the crown prince of Swordhaven, the dragons under his family's command had grown sick of their rule, and rose up to depose them in a bloody revolution. Drakath was saved from being torn apart by the mob of angry dragons only by the color of his eyes: having been hatched while his parents were on diplomatic meetings in the Viridian Labyrinth, he was mistaken for a traveler with unfortunate genes rather than a true member of the royal family.

With everything he knew going up in flames around him, the young prince fled into the wispwillow grove. He then spent the next several years desperately growing strong enough to reclaim what was stolen from him. He learned the blade. He honed his claws. He formed a band of thugs to assist him in stealing valuable supplies and recapturing his kingdom.

And when none of that worked, he headed deep within the clan's shadowed territory, and made a bargain for power with Sepulchure.
