With time, Eirys' view of other dragons, and themselves, changed greatly. Gone were the days when they would be content staying at the back of the group, just laughing mindlessly and letting things roll off their back with no reaction. Learning how to be assertive, even to get angry sometimes, was an uphill effort for someone who had tried over the years to always make themselves small. But small they were no longer. Now a fully grown dragon, Eirys felt free to display their looks however they wanted, cutting off ties with those who tried mocking them, and surrounding themselves with amazing, sympathetic friends. They blossomed just like the flowers now proudly displayed on their hide, and found a forever home in a wind clan just by the water's edge. There, they finally discovered the truth they had known all along: they never even liked the fathomless sea.

Then dive down there with the lights to lead that seem to shine from everything — down to the bottom of the deep blue sea; down where your heart beats so slow, and you never in your life have felt so free. Will you come down there with me? Down where our bodies start to seem like artifacts of some strange dream, which afterwards you can't decipher, and so, soon, have forgotten Everything.
