Survivor.
He had always been told by other dragons that he was too weak to amount to anything. Born tiny, frail, sickly...his parents were nonexistent, having abandoned his tiny egg. The dragons that had surrounded him had no doubt he would die on his first night in the world.
He would prove them wrong.
He, in fact, grew, and grew and grew--a strange abnormality, coming from such a small egg, but he grew to the size of a leviathan, far bigger than any other dragon he saw. His massive size, in fact, actually hurt him as he grew--made his arms and legs weak because of all the weight that he had to support.
Being so large was also a way in which he was found by others, who had heard tales of the incredibly large leviathan dragon that resided in the sea. An evil, greedy dragon decided to take advantage of this, using Triton to fight for him in his twisted dragon arena as the final fighter. If Triton didn't fight back (as he preferred to not fight other dragons), he would face consequences--leading to horrible disfiguring scars on his face. The scars were so deep that he needed to wear a covering upon his head, as the wounds would never truly heal, and if exposed, would become infected--which is why he now wears the mask of bone. He eventually broke free from the hold of the greedy dragon, and was found by Vakariné, who led him to clan Aisha, where he would be accepted for who he was, and where he wasn't feared and used for his size. Adopted by the clan founder, he vowed to protect his new home.
