Starry Night
He was told he looked like art.

This wasn't exactly a compliment implying he was beautiful. Sure, that was a part of it, but it was a more literal statement from most. An ancient art piece from eons ago, before humankind went extinct. The name of the artist has since been lost to the ages, but it remains a cherished painting in Sornieth, almost as protected as the Pillar of the World once was.

Ever since he was a hatchling, he would get stares and comments about the resemblance. While he was flattered the first few times, it became overwhelming. He stopped leaving his lair, more and more of his days were spent at home. This explains his rigid and snarky personality— his stubbornness and academic nature have given him more of a reputation than his resemblance to some ancient artifact, exactly how he wants it to be. This studious spiral focuses on two things, typically— his beekeeping and researching ancient species, including the ancient dragons that resurfaced recently.

He has made acquaintance with Arlo and regularly visits the digsites, conversing with the obelisk that runs them. Though he would never admit this himself, Echo realized fairly quickly that he would love none other than to be closer with Arlo. As unfortunate as it is that this is impossible, he still secretly pines over the scholarly friend.
