Scrimp and Save

Scrimp and Save are middle managers for the lightning farm, serving below Iezo but above low-level employees like Lekit. They oversee the battery-manufacturing floor, that takes the collected electricity and uses it to fill batteries.

Scrimp and Save's primary personality trait is that they are exceptionally cheap. They love a good deal, and are always hunting for a bargain. They're notorious coupon hoarders, and all the shopkeepers in the area hate them because their coupon game is so extreme. They take forever to check out of wherever they shop due to the sheer amount of coupons they bring to the register, and they usually walk out paying almost nothing, or, on occasion, with the shopkeeper having to fork over money. Other dragons derogatorily refer to them as "Cheap and Skate".

Nothing happened in their history to make them so frugal. They just are, and they delight in it. They love money, they want a lot of it, and they don't want to give up what they have. It's more than the draconic nature of hoarding for them. It's just the love of money.

On the factory floor, this means they cut a lot of corners to make things faster and cheaper. They hate spending company money, and will do whatever it takes to avoid spending any of it. They were the ones who originally proposed to Iezo that she hire more Aberrations as two-for-one labor. A lot of their employees have been physically injured by their corner-cutting.

Some of their coworkers have suggested they become the company's accountants instead of mere middle managers, but Scrimp and Save are appalled by the idea. First off, being the accountants would mean that they have to actually spend company money, and they are disgusted by the idea. Secondly and primarily, they're addicted to the power that comes with bossing their employees around. They love yelling and snapping at their employees and keeping them on a tight leash. They know their voice haunts their employees' nightmares, and they love it.

Scrimp and Save are more than aware of how expendable they are to the company. Even though they are two of the extremely few employees who Iezo cares enough about to learn the names of, they know that they could be let go at any moment. And frankly, they don't care. As long as they get paid, that's all that matters to them. Their paycheck means more than anything else, more than saving the company money, more than exerting their power over the employees. As long as they get paid, anything could happen to them, and it would just roll off their back.

Although Scrimp and Save use cybernetic enhancements, they are not used as prosthetic replacements or injury repairs like they are for dragons like Sizzle and Sear or Resona. They use them more like body modification, and claim it's no different than piercings or tattoos. While most dragons shrug this notion off, some are personally insulted by it. Why should they be allowed to use life-saving technology as an accessory? And more than that, why would Scrimp and Save, in all their frugality, choose to spend money on this sort of body modification?
