Gamble HE / HIM Casino Ringleaderiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee |
Gamble isn't his real name, of course. Those few that do know the Casino Masters' true name know better than to share it. There's been a nasty rumor going about -- the townsfolk here are all such superstitious sorts -- that Gamble is actually a Faefolk of the Shaded Wood. He's never denied it, though one ought to remember that rumors very rarely hold the entire truth. There's power to be had in a rumor like that. Keeps people on their toes... And out of his business, when needed. There are those who come to Gamble's casino, a decadent and sprawling manor near the heart of the Outpost, looking to gamble for more than coin. They're looking for secrets. Knowledge. Lies. Power. All things that Gamble does not part willingly with. To even challenge Gamble to a battle of wits is a risky game in itself -- if he sizes you up, and finds you lacking, you may as well forget about ever getting the information you need. He respects boldness, and confidence. He likes spitfires. Dragons that are clever as a whip, and know it, and can give him a proper game. It's no fun winning against someone who never even had a chance, after all. Gamble considers himself a generous and fair man -- if a bet catches his fancy, he'll even let the challenger pick the game. This, too, is a test. Do you risk a game of chance? Or are you truly confident enough to choose a game of skill? Gamble doesn't cheat, or so he claims... But he very rarely loses. - |
