Before the arena Salaric had been a model, flaunting his glorious pelt and feathers to the entirety of the world. He basked in the fame, raked in adoring fans and accepted more money than he knew what to do with. His fame bred arrogance and after a while of living out the dream of many, he became cocky. He would meet with his fans, sign things, and inevitably speak to them. Though once he opened his mouth, a lot of his fans left angry. He said terrible things, boasting about his fame, shooting down other celebrities and mocking his fans for liking him no matter what he did wrong. Eventually his ego got ahead of him.

He lost deals and promotions with other companies, he lost his ties with his friends, his fans abandoned him as they were tired of getting mocked and soon enough he lost his job. No modeling agency desired such a cruel and rude model, even if he was stunning to look at. Looks alone weren't enough and his charm had worn off in a big way. Frustrated, lost and confused, Salaric had to stoop to almost criminal means to make money as everybody knew him and nobody wanted him. With only one talent up his sleeve, looking pretty, he struggled to survive.

He joined the arena in hopes that the prize money could help restore his life to what it once was. Only it was rougher in the arena than it was outside of it. The combat was brutal and he was weak, barely managing to evade life-endling blows by fleeing and surrendering. He was a pathetic shell of what he once was but he learned his lesson and humbled himself. It was a shame he learned his lesson a bit too late.



Having survived the arena being saved by none other than a dragon the Tidelord had sent himself. Salaric shed his feathers and embraced the watery depths of the Sea of a Thousand Currents. But how could he best repay the god that had so graciously saved his life? Yes, of course! He could rear a whole new generation of warriors. Ones that will fight for the greater good and not just for themselves. Hatchlings that would be the future warriors, leaders, and guardians of their clans. And through this act, maybe just maybe. Salaric would be able to look at his own reflection with pride. Not for his natural beauty but for the dragon he had become.
