Biography
~Guardian Garden Sentry~
*...It's... It's literally just a shrub. A really big shrub.*
Somewhere off the beaten path, near the village and the farmland, is a strange copse of fragrant flowering trees and shrubs. Some have even begun to bear fruit. Some say these trees are kinda eerie and that sometimes they appear to have moved since eyes were last laid upon them. Kucho says there's nothing to worry about and says they just want more visitors to share their shade with.
The fruits this tree bears are described as interesting and confusing, a unique spicy minty flavor that's often hard to describe and can be rather divisive. Some have described the teaberry's flavor as old fashioned, others complain it's too medicinal and reminds them too much of a popular pink anti-nausea medicine (which also borrows these berry's flavors). Either way both berries and leaves are used in confections as well as various teas and herbal medicines, such as the aforementioned pink anti-nausea medicine.
Visitors are allowed to pick as many as they care to, but are encouraged to be gentle and considerate when doing so. There's stories of mysterious splinters and being knocked by swaying branches by those who do not follow those rules. It's probably just the wind but...
... Better safe than sorry.
