Izanagi's egg dipped right into the forge near his home. The clutch was near hatching, his parents keeping the eggs close while they worked. The heat of his homeland was comforting enough, and suddenly, it was scorching.

Cradled by lava and molten metal, Izanagi's parents hurried to scoop the egg from the liquid core of the forge. Worried that the hatchling inside has been harmed, they dabbed the side of the shell with a damp towel and urged the hatchlings to finally awaken with a pulse of magic.

His nestmates were normal, full of bountiful energy. But Izanagi was cold. He wanted to go back into the warmth, the nice cozy embrace of the Great Furnace. Fearing for Izanagi's safety, as he sat shivering in their arms, they rushed him to a medicinal healer and explained the situation.

"I see... He has absorbed too much of The Mother's magic. Anything outside of the temperatures he was exposed to in the egg won't suffice." The healer explained. His parents pleaded for help.

"Fret not, I'll have my finest metalsmiths on the job right away."

And so, Izanagi was equipped with Augments. Lava straight from the Great Furnace coursed through the piping and wiring. The heat swirled over Izanagi's scales and he was finally content. His muscles relaxed, no longer frigid. Before long he was just as jubilant as his siblings.
