Biography
(Note from Draco: For info on the Variants and how they work, read Emblem's bio, it's towards the bottom)
Quartz is a hardened warrior from the Fire domain through and through. He is adept in fighting both with his magic and tooth and claw, and will fly or run into combat without warning. The Wildclaw was incredibly talented at navigating the hostile landscapes of the Ashfall Waste in his past life. He used this to his great advantage, as while he was a skilled fighter, his more frequent pastime was scavenging across the hellscapes for rarer metals and minerals. He frequented the Molten Scar and the Volcanic Vents in this behavior.
Quartz is metaphorically and literally a hothead. He is incredibly defensive of himself, Emblem, and his fellow Variants. Were it up to him, he'd leap out from Emblem's mindscape and attack anyone verbally accusing any of his brothers (as they lightheartedly consider each other). He will openly guard any and every one of them wherever they may happen to be resting.
Given both his skills and his personality, Quartz definitely has the bite to back up his roar. However, his rage can definitely be his own undoing. Despite the fact that they all do this to each other, Quartz's brothers will often play tricks on him given his reactions are particularly amusing (although Emblem doesn't fall far behind). Quartz can easily grow blind in his threats, and often doesn't realize that sadly, size does matter at times, especially when he is arguing against dragons such as Iron, Gold, or Diamond. The results are often far too embarrassing for him to speak of out loud, or allow his brothers to disclose if he's given the opportunity.
An odd portion of Quartz's personality, one of which his brothers will not stop teasing him over, is that he seems to be incredibly distrustful of beds of all things. While he doesn't necessarily need sleep as a Variant, he can rest his body or lay down, but he is incredibly apprehensive to do so in a bed. While his brothers claim that they would tease him less if he would simply explain the reasoning behind his behavior, this has not convinced him to reveal the roots of his apparent fear.
*QD rushes into the room* "It's NOT a fear!"
Among his other influences, and while they are often minor, Quartz affects Emblem's fury, skill and strength in combat, boldness, and ability to continue in an extreme ordeal (whether in a fight or enduring harsh conditions) despite already having taken a lot of injuries or exhaustion.
