Leadwing Boas
A Nature Subspecies ![]() This subspecies of Auraboa is infamous for their especially toxic venom. While not immediately lethal, it causes immense neuromuscular and digestive dysfunction in those bitten. Smaller prey will often die of shock due to severe dehydration, while those who manage to escape alive will often suffer with intense pain, muscle weakness, nausea/vomiting, and intestinal bleeding until eventually dying of dehydration. In some cases, those who manage to survive the ordeal or find an antidote develop a blue/purple tint to some of their features. These Auraboa disguise themselves among fallen trees and other forms of foliage when hunting, but can be recognized by their dark, metal-like wings or blue/purple features; i.e. flowers, foliage, barbs, or stingers. Despite their natural camouflage and toxic venom, Leadwings rarely like to utilize their evolutionary advantages unless they're hunting for food or in a life-or-death situation. They also have to be careful not to let other dragons consume their poisoned prey, lest they also suffer the effects of their venom. Assets by Poisonedpaper |
