Other dragons take Bloodcrush a lot more seriously than he takes himself. Despite his name and his reputation as a mercenary and brutal fighter, he now prefers teaching younger dragons and joining in with the clan's little gardening group. You can often find him with Diana in the mornings, scratching out lesson plans and arguing good-naturedly with each other. Other times he lies with with Kitten in patches of sunshine, the pair of them stretching out flat as dead things and pretending to be deaf if anyone asks them to do anything. His favourite colour is pink - and red, thankfully.

Eon likes him, because he doesn't expect Eon to speak, and he has an easy rapport with Queen as well - both having run their own crews back in the day. He also has a close bond with Gaius, though neither of them will tell anyone why or where they know each other from.

Nobody asks him about his charge, either. It's a heavy elephant in the room, because unlike Kitten he hasn't spoken about losing it. It's just. never been brought up, and now it's gone so long with nobody mentioning it, it feels too weighty. The clan members assume that his charge must have died or something, or newer members assume that Gaius is his charge. He doesn't tell anybody what happened to his charge. "Must have died or something" can cover it.
