Biography
Illfiend was found by Gloam during one of the small warrior's expeditions on the borders of the plagued wasteland. They were hurt, panicked, and very distrustful, but could not for the life of them get away from anyone who was approaching. Gloam, unwilling to let another down, no matter if a stranger or not, flew back to the lair to gather some food for the injured stranger, then came back and let it in front of the hissing aberration.
It took a long while and a lot of flying back and from, but eventually, the larger dragon warmed up to the fae.
Illfiend, or that's how they called themselves, told Gloam about how they had been surviving by themselves for too many decades to count, fleeing other dragons with carmine eyes like theirs. They told the small fae of the glimpse of a memory, or a dream, in which they narrowly escaped death from claws much like their own right after breaking out of their shell. After some more days, they let Gloam provide first care to their wounds while the little wyrm told them of her adventures, of her home and of her friends. Then, she said, "Why don't you come with me back home? You'd enjoy some company, I think".
Illfiend refused, but the idea still stuck within their minds.
They were getting used to Gloam's companionship, and liking it at that.
And so they told the fae that they would think about it.
