The Mimic
Taklit was christened so due to his odd personality. His name means "imitation" and he lives up to his Nocturne origins rather well. This strange little Shadow boy found his place in the clan after he found Alesiana on Christmas day and followed her back to the clan. Though young dragons joining the Orchard was not unheard of, a hatchling of only one day with Shadow origins confused the entire clan. He refuses to leave her side, seeming to have imprinted on the stoic leader.
Taklit refuses to talk, despite the best tries of the clan, Ansel, and Alesiana combined. He instead communicates through small chirps when the situation is dire, or a sort of sign language of his own makings. Generally, though, the young dragon is not one for conversation anyway. He often frustrates the others in the clan by copying their movements while they talk to him, even down to synchronizing his blinking with his conversation partner. Even the patient Ansel finds himself frustrated now and then with the Nocturne's actions.
It is unknown if he refuses to talk because he simply can't, or due to his imprinting on the fairly silent Alesiana. Either way, the intimidating Matriarch of the clan does not seem to mind. Though she has found herself at a loss with her own hatchlings (especially the equally aloof Icewing), she can be seen rocking this young dragon in her tail at night if one watches carefully.
